The
crowds poured into the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds
December 2, 2006! It was a cold start to the day with
snow and black ice inches think on the ground. That
didn't deter the crowds of spectators who came out
to support the National Reining Horse Association
Futurity, a major reining event with contenders competing
against the world’s finest.
The crowds were also drawn to Arena 6 to see the amazing
horse trainer from “down-under,” Clinton
Anderson, who strutted his stuff along with Italian
reiner Andrea Fappani. They both put on an amazing
clinic of true horsemanship, Andrea Fappani preformed
and explained in great detail a number of different
programs he uses when training a 2-3 year old horse
which really pleased the crowded arena, an amazing
performance by an extremely talented rider. . It was
really nice to see Clinton outside of the arena enjoying
the event ringside with his family. He also had two
of his own horses in the futurity. If any of you would
like to learn how to "whistle," boy this
Aussie can whistle!! His whistle could be heard round
the entire main arena in support of his horse "Deon
Locke." Good on ya mate! Can you include that
in your next clinic?
The 2006 NRHA Futurity was a great day out
for the ladies!
Congratulations to the overall winners, Champions
Randy Paul & Taris Designer Genes, competing against
the world’s finest at the NRHA Futurity, OK,
2006. This is the first time a mare has come to the
front since the great Enterprise Lady, a 1990 NRHA
Hall of Fame inductee.
A Ladies Day Out It Was! Taking top
honors, Shawna Sapergia and This Chics On Top (Outrider
Ranch), winning the Intermediate Open and Randy Paul
& Taris Designer Genes (Rancho Oso Rio.)
Topsail
Whiz Becomes Three Million Dollar Sire!
This was a spectacular arena presentation of all
the famed champions of the reining world, with a
special honor's going to the phenomenal reining
horse sire Topsail Whiz.
Congratulations to the NRHA and all who made it
possible for such an amazing event, and to all the
amazing competitors and spectators . . .
See Ya'll again in 2007!
